Il y a trois jours, je suis allée porter mon cv chez Bureau en Gros, une entreprise de fournitures scolaires et d'équipement électronique.
Three days ago, I went to give my cv to Staples Business Depot, a shcolastic funitures and electronic equipment.
J'ai été rappelée le lendemain pour une entrevue hier matin.
I was called for an interview the next morning (yesterday morning).
Tout a très bien été (enfin, je le pense !).
Everything went very good (I think so).
J'ai pensé qu'ils me rappeleraient pour le lendemain au minimum (Il y a trois entrevues avant d'être engagés). Je me suis donc changée et démaquillée. Puis, je me suis installée pour lire.
I thought they would call me for the next interview at the very least (there are three interviews before to be engaged). So, I changed my clothes and I removed my make up.
À cinq heures, je reçois un coup de téléphone. Est-ce-que je pourrais passer la deuxième entrevue à 5h45? Oui, d'accord (je pense qu'il est 4h environ). Je me lève, je regarde l'heure et... ahhhhhhh !!!!
At five o'clock, I get a phone call. Would I be free for the second interview at 5:45 ? Yes, perfect (I think it is around 4 o'clock). I get up, I watch the clock and.... ahhhhhhhhh !!!
Ça me prend entre quinze et vingt minutes me rendre au Bureau en gros. Je ne suis pas habillée, pas préparée. C'est la folie. Mon coeur bat à 500 km/h. Je ne trouve rien, ça va mal.
It takes me between fifteen and twenty minutes to go to Staples. I don't have my clothes on neither am I prepared. It's crazy. My heart speed is 500 km/h. I don't find my stuff, everything's going wrong.
Finalement j'arrive.... Avec 15 minutes d'avance. C'EST BIEN MOI ÇA !!! J'étais tellement sûre d'être en retard que j'arrive trop en avance ! J'aurais dû prendre ces quinze minutes pour calmer mes nerfs, ça aurait été mieux. Mais non ! J'arrive toute essoufflée, paniquée, et j'essaie de dire en bafouillant que j'ai été convoquée en entrevue. La caissière me regarde avec un drôle de sourire. Elle sait ce que je veux dire. Elle le dit à ma place. Puis, l'HORREUR ! Je vois que le monsieur qui me passe en entrevue est juste debout à côté d'elle ! La belle première impression, que j'ai dû lui donner ! lol
I finally arrive... 15 minutes in advance. THAT IS REALLY ME !!! I was so sure I'd be late that I arrive too much in advance ! I could have taken these fifteen minutes to calm down, that would have been better. But no ! I arrive, trying to catch my breath, and in shock. I try to say, stammering, that I was called for an interview. The cashier looks at me with an amused smile. She completes my sentence. Then, HORROR ! I see the guy who is going to pass my interview is standing right beside her ! Nice first impression, I must say ! lol
Au moins, j'ai réussi à me détendre pendant l'entrevue. Et franchement, je me demande comment, parce que le monsieur qui me passait en entrevue ne cachait pas du tout ce qu'il pensait de ma nervosité. J'étais pas à l'aise du tout avec lui, probablement à cause de mon entrée fracassante. Car je sais qu'il est en réalité très sympathique. Il m'a même dit qu'il a seulement continué l'entrevue pour voir si je me calmerais. Ça a été le cas. Une chance. Je crois que j'ai réussi à le faire changer d'opinion sur moi, car il m'a dit que si les références qu'il appellait ne disait rien de mal de moi, je passais en troisième entrevue. J'espère seulement qu'ils ne me referont pas le coup de m'appeller à la dernière seconde !
At least, I was able to relax through the interview. And, frankly speaking, I wonder how I did it, because the guy that passed my interview really didn't bother showing me what he thought of my nervosity. I wasn't on ease with him, probably because of my catastrophic entrance. Because I know that in reality, he is very nice. He even told me he continued the interview just to see if I was going to calm down. I did. What a luck. I think I suceeded at making him change his mind on me, because he said it was sure I was going to be called for the third interview if my references didn't tell anything wrong on me. I just hope they are not going to call me at the last minute again !
