Finalement, nous ne sommes pas allés à Percé. La météo ne s'annonçait décidément pas très bonne. On a décidé de fuir le mauvais temps, et ce ne fût pas la meilleure idée qu'on ait jamais eu.
Finally, we did not go to Percé. The weather was supposed to be rainy. We tried to escape from the rain by choosing another destination, and I must admit that it wasn't the best idea we've ever had.
Le jour même du départ, on a dû se choisir une autre destination pour notre voyage. Faute de budget, mes amis ne pouvaient pas aller très loin. On a donc été sur le site de camping Québec pour se choisir un site pas trop loin. C'est comme ça qu'on a décidé, un peu sur un coup de tête, d'aller à.... Québec. GROS VOYAGE ! lol Moi qui ai passé mon année là, je n'étais pas la plus enthousiaste, je dois l'avouer.
On the day we were supposed to leave, we had to choose somewhere to go. Since my friends had a low budget for that trip, we couldn't go very far. So we went on camping Québec website to try to find somewhere to sleep. That's how we ended up in... Québec City! GREAT TRIP ! I've just spent a year living there, that was going to be a big change ! lol You understand that I wasn't the most enthousiastic girl, no need to say.
Notre camping était plus précisément situé à St-Nicolas, sur la rive sud de Québec. À... 2 km du camping où j'ai été initiée au programme de psycho. C'était bizarre ! Au moins, ce n'était pas le même ! Ça m'aurait rappelé plein de souvenirs. Bons comme mauvais !
Our camping was more precisely in St-Nicolas, on the South coast of Quebec City. 2 km from the camping was the other camping where I had my initiation for the psychology program. That was kind of strange. At least, it wasn't the same ! Some happy and less happy memories would have come back to my mind !
Comme toujours quand je voyage, il nous est arrivé PLEIN de mésaventures. Sachez que lorsque vous voyagez avec moi, vous pouvez être assurés que les mésaventures vont vous poursuivre. Je les attire. Et je ne fais absolument rien pour que ça nous arrive. La première: on est partis une heure plus tard que prévu parce que quelqu'un avait toujours oublié quelque chose. Après maintes allées et retour entre Pointe-au-Père et Rimouski, on est finalement partis vers 18h10.
As always when I'm on a trip, MANY adventures happenned to us. There's no way to escape the bad lucks when you travel with me. And nothing is my fault, it's just that every bad thing you can imagine happen to me. The first bad luck we had in this trip is that we started the trip one hour later then we were supposed to. You'll say that it's nothing. You're right. But the thing actually is that we wouldn't have been late if we had not been travelling between Pointe-au-Père and Rimouski for an hour because we had things missing ! We finally left Rimouski at 6:10 PM.
On a soupé beaucoup plus tard, vers 20h, à la Pocatière..... eh OUI ! Au Mc Donald. Ce Mc Donald est tout ce qu'il y a de connu dans ce bled. Personne connaît la Pocatière, mais tout le monde au Québec ou presque sait qu'il y a un Mc Donald sur le bord de la route à la Pocatière. Je ne compte plus les fois où j'ai dû y manger. Mais bon, j'ai évité le Big Mac (maintenant que je connais la couleur des boulettes pas cuites) et je m'en suis sortie ! C'était la première fois que je mangeais du McDo depuis les Bahamas. Et ça ne me manquais pas une miette !
We had dinner much later, at about 8:00 PM, in la Pocatière.... And YES ! At the Mc Donald. That Mc Donald is all that is not in this small town. Nobody knows the town itself, but everyone in Quebec or almost knows that there is a Mc Donald in la Pocatière near the road. I no more count the times that I had to stop at that restaurant to eat. It was the first time I went back there since the Bahamas. I avoided the Big Mac (now that I know the color of the "meat" when it's not cooked) and I'm still alive ! lol But I really did not missed eating it.
On est arrivés au camping vers 21h30 si je me rappelle bien. On s'est dépêchés de monter la tente et moi et Éric avons presque couru (façon de parler puisque nous étions en voiture) jusqu'au dépanneur du camping qui fermait à 10 h pour s'acheter du bois. C'est Éric qui a conduit le char de Steven, et son antidémarreur nous a fait chier. J'ai été obligée de retourner à notre terrain à pied (au fin fond du fond du camping ! lol) dans le noir avec seule ma mémoire pour me guider pour que Steven vienne démarrer l'auto. Aventure #2. Pendant ce temps, Karine essayait désespérément de garder en vie le feu que nous avions démarré avec des branchages du sous-bois à côté. Elle essayait dans trouver comme ça, sans lampe de poche ni rien... Donc, les recherches étaient plutôt infructueuses. D'autant plus qu'on ne pouvait pas aller trop loin ! Comme nous n'avions plus de papier pour en commencer un autre, elle courait partout pour trouver des petites branches pour ne pas que le feu meure pendant que Steven allait démarrer l'auto.
We arrived in the camping at approximately 9:30 PM if I remember well. We quickly installed the tent and the sleeping bags, and Eric and I almost ran (in a sense... We were actually in a car) to the convenience store from the camping that closed at 10:00 PM to buy some wood for the fire. Eric drove Steven's car, and he didn't know about that complicated engine immobilizer thing. So we couldn't get back to our camping site. So I ended up walking back to our camping site (at the complete back of the camping) in the dark with only my memory to guide myself to look for Steven. That's for adventure #2. At that moment, Karine was desesperately trying to find wood in the small forrest to keep alive the fire we had started with little wood. She had to keep it alive because if it had died, we no more had any paper.
Mais les gars sont finalement arrivés et on s'est fait un petit feu avant d'aller se coucher, plutôt de bonne heure. On voulait sauter dans le spa dès qu'il ouvrirait le lendemain matin ! lol
Je vais vous conter la suite de mon voyage plus tard.
The guys finally arrived and we had a short fire time before to get to sleep, quite early. We had for a project to jump in the spa as soon as it opened the next morning ! lol I will tell about the rest of this trip later.
